Itinerary
1st Day
Early in the morning, your driver will be picking you up from the place that you have chosen (hotel, apartment) and driving for two hours until you will arrive at the Monastery of Osios Lucas. There you will have 1 hour to visit the Monastery. Leaving the Monastery you will be driving for 30 min towards Delphi. On the way you will have a short stop at the town of Arahova. Then you will have 2 hours available to visit the Archeological site and the museum of Delphi, the most famous Oracle of Ancient Greece. Among other things you will see the Temple of Apollo, the sanctuary of Athena Pronea, the Sacred Road, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Castalia spring, the Theatre and the Stadium. Leaving Delphi, you will be driving for 3 hours towards Meteora. On the way, you will also visit the battlefield of Thermopylai, where the famous battle of the 300 Spartans took place. There, you will visit the information centre and the statue of King Leonidas. You will also have your lunch break on the way to Meteora. Once having reached your destination, you will have the chance to see the incredibly distinguishing rocks of Meteora and watch a beautiful sunset.

2nd Day
The second day of the tour you will be visiting the Monasteries of Meteora, where you will have time to visit at least 3 Monasteries. Of course you will have additional time for more stops to take amazing pictures and capture these phenomenal rock formations. Leaving Meteora you will be driving for 2 hours to Ioannina, a beautiful city built next to lake Pamvotis. On the way you will make a stop at the picturesque village of Metsovo, built in the slopes of the biggest mountain range of Greece, Pindos.

3rd Day
The last day of the tour you will enjoy the wild beauty of the region of Epirus. You will be visiting the castle of Ioannina where you will witness the great Byzantine and Ottoman history of Ioannina, the prehistoric Cave of Perama and the ancient Theatre of Dodoni. You will also stop and visit the ‘Oracle of the dead’, or ‘Nekromanteion’ of Acheron, the river that transferred the souls to the underworld according to the Ancient Greeks’ beliefs. The drive back to Athens is 4 hours. A stop for lunch or some coffee will be necessary, as it will offer you the chance to relax before the end of a wonderful tour.

Don’t hesitate to ask for changes in the itinerary. We are very flexible and able to adjust the itinerary as you wish. You have the option to extend the tour in order to add other sites. Some nice ideas would be the picturesque villages of Zagorohoria near Ioannina, Nikopolis, Preveza or even some of the islands of the Ionian sea (Lefkada, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Corfu).
